At Vista, our radio stations pay attention to what’s going on in their local communities; news and events form the cornerstones of our stations.

Local Radio Makes A Difference
We commit to comprehensive daily newscasts, weather & events. Every Vista station newsroom emphasizes local information; at least 80% of the content is local and regional in scope.
Local Emergencies
In times of crises, radio is the most accessible medium. When up to the second details on a situation means the difference, our listeners rely and depend on us to relay vital information.
Vista Radio’s first duty to the public is to inform. Vista created V.E.R.N (Vista’s Emergency Response Network) which is prominently displayed in every radio station withing our company. V.E.R.N. gives the power to our staff, in their local markets, to determine when, and for how long, to interrupt regular programming to cover emergency situations.
We will continue to broadcast information on critical events: Amber alerts, power outages, sudden road closures, flash floods, forest fires, school closures, extreme weather, and more. We proudly take this role in the community. Each year this information makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of listeners across our airwaves.
